The simple version, from start to finish
Link building between local businesses does not need to be complicated. Here is exactly what we do and what you can expect.
We find the right match
We look at what kind of business you run, where you are located, and which businesses nearby serve the same customers. A landscaper and a fence company. A cleaning service and a property manager. The connection has to make sense for a real visitor.
We agree on what to do
We confirm the partnership in writing — what gets linked, where it goes, and what it says. Clear, simple, no surprises. Both businesses see the plan before anything goes live.
Your business gets featured
The link or mention goes live. Over time, each business in the network builds a small set of genuine local cross-referrals — from businesses that actually share their customers in San Diego.
What people usually ask first
Is there a cost?
No. Businesses featured in Local Business Collab are not charged a listing or referral fee. We are compensated separately by the clients we work with on SEO and marketing, which is why we can offer this at no cost.
How do you decide if a business is a good fit?
We look for businesses that serve the same geographic area and customer type as an existing or prospective partner, without competing directly. A cleaning service and a landscaper both serve homeowners in the same neighbourhood, for example.
What does the listing look like on a partner’s site?
It varies. It might be a short mention and a link in a relevant page (“for yard care, we recommend…”), or a more prominent feature block. We agree the format in writing before anything goes live.
Can I say no after seeing the partner?
Yes. We share the proposed match and the plan before anything goes live. If it does not feel right, you can decline with no penalty and no awkwardness.
Sound like something that fits?
Tell us a bit about your business and we will take a look at whether there is a match.
